De locale helden
Zo noemen we ze bij Net4kids: de sociaal bevlogen mensen die projecten optuigen om hun leefomgeving te verbeteren. Zoals Benedetta Kyengo, de drijvende kracht achter Feedback to the Future, een Nederlands-Keniaans project voor agro-ecologie en voedselbossen in Kenia waar de verkoopopbrengst van deze tentoonstelling naar toe gaat. Ik heb inmiddels een hele rij van favorieten: Druba Giri uit Nepal van Sapana Village Social Impact, Oliver Sikatumba van de Local Cowboys School in Zambia, Arockiam Aloysius van SAVE in India. En met deze korte opsomming doe ik veel anderen tekort. Zij zijn het die het verschil maken. 

The local heroes
That's what we call them at Net4kids: the socially driven people who set up projects to improve their living environment. Like Benedetta Kyengo, the driving force behind Feedback to the Future, a Dutch-Kenyan project for agro-ecology and food forests in Kenya, which is where the proceeds from this exhibition's sales are going. By now I have a whole list of favorites: Druba Giri from Nepal of Sapana Village Social Impact, Oliver Sikatumba of the Local Cowboys School in Zambia, Arockiam Aloysius of SAVE in India. And with this short list, I'm doing many others an injustice. They are the ones who make the difference.
